00:03:52 Chris Souder: thanks for your help Alan 00:04:06 Alan Bond: good morning Chris 00:31:32 Fernandez-Solis, Jose L: what is the form of application for aCCE member training? 00:33:51 Alan Bond: Yes to the advance team training. 00:36:06 Alan Bond: A-22 for the VT MIT form 00:38:22 Alan Bond: he is referring to table 3.1.1.1 00:40:30 Alan Bond: those are the series 3 forms on the website 00:40:51 Alan Bond: and 4 for a Masters program 00:42:33 Alan Bond: Currently we use form A-15 to report back to the Education Unit the results of any corrective actions 00:43:53 Alan Bond: And the EU responses on the same A-15 form. 01:09:45 Xudong Jia: Can we get the PPT slides after the presentation? 01:13:48 Alan Bond: It is very difficult to be able to provide all the content needed in a capstone (although not impossible) to adequately test all SLO's in one course. Example, can a student demonstrate the ability to create a construction estimate and schedule from scratch in the same course? maybe, yes. But would there still be enough time to perform 18 other quality assessments in the same class? Each assessment must have the content broken down by SLO, so ideally, and for simplicity, having 20 different assessments is far simpler to maintain. 01:14:49 Alan Bond: Ultimately, the Education Unit defines the curriculum contained in their understanding of the broad ACCE SLO's. Then, the established direct assessments must be substantial to test the students "insert proper taxonomy" of that SLO. 01:15:47 Alan Bond: This it Table 3.1.1.1 01:22:03 Rybkowski, Zofia K: If you are in the College of Engineering, how did you decide to go with ACCE rather than ABET of ASCE? What are the key differences between the two systems? 01:23:12 Alan Bond: Until recently ABET did not have a CMGT accreditation. They teamed up with CMAA and launched that certification in the past 3 years or so. It was more by default, at that time. 01:24:15 Alan Bond: ABET is engineering centric, not CMGT. It is like a plug in. ACCE is 100% CMGT focused! 01:26:33 Alan Bond: the 3.1.6. series of assessment have been moved into section 9 starting with the new document 103 that Al has referred to. 01:27:01 Hussein Fuad Abaza: Do we need to provide students' work sample for reinforcement assessment or we need only students work samples for DA 01:29:24 Alan Bond: You are only required to submit one sample of graded student work for EACH direct assessment used to determine the extend of student learning per SLO. for example, we use a number of individual assessments to SLO 5, create a construction schedule. for each of those, we submit the assessment tool, assessment key/rubric, and a copy of the graded student work. 01:30:39 Alan Bond: for an "understand" SLO, one exam could be the specific direct assessment. 01:35:13 Alan Bond: those are forms A12, A13 and A14 based upon your position on the VT 01:39:01 Cindy Mason: I, too, would be interested in this slide show to share with my team. 01:39:30 Alan Bond: the interviews are individual. they have a number of things they are looking for at the individual level. do they understand the SLO's? the EU definition of the SLO's. The IRDA map? and more things verifying what is in the self-study that should be obvious to all faculty 01:42:12 Alan Bond: I believe the recordings will all be made available after next week on the ACCE website. 01:43:04 Alan Bond: interesting. I wonder if that was a last minute COVID audible? I have not heard of that before. thank you for sharing. 01:47:45 Alan Bond: I suggest that you fill out everything that applies. 01:49:14 StaciBockwinkel: do we just stay on for the Advance training or do we have to leave and come back? 01:49:39 Christi Banks: If we become a ACCE member and to the teacher training along with this current training, can we still apply? 01:50:40 Hussein Fuad Abaza: do you have a training for chairs? 01:50:42 StaciBockwinkel: I do have the email 01:50:54 Fernandez-Solis, Jose L: please also put the case study link 01:52:31 Alan Bond: Topic: ACCE Advanced Visiting Team Member Training Time: Feb 15, 2021 02:00 PM Central Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86462254775?pwd=UEZ4NTlOaXAvdm1iUWNwbHE3NEtpZz09 Meeting ID: 864 6225 4775 Passcode: 2:00Advanc 01:52:47 Alan Bond: Topic: ACCE Advanced Visiting Team Member Training Time: Feb 15, 2021 02:00 PM Central Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86462254775?pwd=UEZ4NTlOaXAvdm1iUWNwbHE3NEtpZz09 Meeting ID: 864 6225 4775 Passcode: 2:00Advanc Topic: Visiting Team Case Studies Session Time: Feb 16, 2021 11:00 AM Central Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88235801103?pwd=RGd3MUNERU5LOVpwU2w0bjZNZmk5dz09 Visiting Team Case Studies Session When: Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
